For companies, having their own website is part of good form these days. Only those who are present on the web can quickly come into contact with potential customers. But private individuals are also interested in bringing special content to a large group of people as a web offer. An own website is a sensible thing, but the design is not quite easy for some private person.

For the creation of your own website, finding the beginning shows to be the most difficult undertaking. Before the first preparations for an own homepage are started, it should be considered, which sense the website should pursue.

For companies, this question is easy to answer, after all, a company website should serve to present products and offers appealing.

Basically, the web presence is composed of several necessary components. First of all, a URL or a web address as well as a corresponding web space at a provider is necessary to be able to put a homepage on the net. For the operation of a PC or browser, certain basic knowledge should be available. In addition, CSS and HTML knowledge may be required.

However, those who are more closely involved with web design will probably acquire these over time anyway. For the operation of the website, this is already a relief, although not a mandatory requirement.

A particularly important question when creating a homepage is the visual appearance, i.e. the web design. For the so-called CMS systems (content management systems) there are probably the most templates on the web. Of course, the template should always fit the purpose of the website. However, not only the own taste should be decisive. The effect on the user on the web should be considered before choosing a very dark design or a complicated structure.

Once the design and content of the homepage have been determined, there are still some technical aspects to consider when creating it. For web pages, a basic distinction is made between dynamic and static pages. Pure HTML pages usually represent static web offers, where each subpage is called up as a single document.
